In Nepal 90% of people live off the land. When illness strikes some people sell off land to pay for treatment. When they recover, their remaining land may be insufficient to support them. People affected by disability often have to learn new ways of farming or earning an income. INF tries to help them develop businesses, training them on our farm or providing the animals and equipment they need. A buffalo can be a great asset for a poor family. It can be fed with rough fodder to produce milk and cheese, manure and biogas, offspring and ultimately meat, leather and bone. It can also be used to plough fields and pull a cart.
