an ox and feed

$235 USD

In Nepal 90% of people live off the land. When illness strikes some people sell off land to pay for treatment. When they recover, their remaining land may be insufficient to support them. People affected by disability often have to learn new ways of farming or earning an income. INF tries to help them develop businesses, training them on our farm or providing the animals and equipment they need. Oxen are used to plough the fields and pull heavy loads. People with no land can earn a living by hiring out their oxen to work a neighbour’s rice fields or transport the harvest to market. This gift will provide an ox and enough feed to get an INF client started in business.
